Meet the Doctors
Dr. Bruce WallaceOwner / Senior Optometrist
Dr. Bruce Wallace was born in Buffalo, New York and has been a resident of the Seattle area since 1958. He graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a bachelor’s in business and pre-optometry. He attended Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee where he graduated and met his lovely wife Debbie. They moved back to Federal Way, Washington where they started their family and he began his career as an optometrist. He worked for various local practices before he started Vision Express in 1984. Dr. Wallace was the first optometrist to have a full onsite optical lab to provide his patients with same day service. He enjoys private practice and loves connecting one on one with his patients. He is a vital contributor to his community and has been a member of the Historical Society of Federal Way since 2009. In his free time Dr. Wallace enjoys travelling, cars, and spending time with his family and friends.
Dr. Hana BohmerOptometrist
Dr. Hana Bohmer is a native to Seattle, growing up in West Seattle and graduating from high school at Seattle Preparatory School. She did her undergraduate studies at the University of Redlands, graduating with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology. Following her undergraduate studies, Dr. Bohmer attended the University of California-Berkeley School of Optometry. Her optometry training included externships at Palo Alto-Livermore Veterans Hospital, Castle Eye Clinic in Atwater,CA, and Omni Eye Services in New York, NY. After completing optometry school, she returned to the Seattle area where she worked as a low vision optometrist at a local nonprofit. Her time as a low vision optometrist gave her a unique opportunity to treat patients with a variety of ocular diseases and complex optical needs. She has a superb ability to make her patient feel comfortable and trust that she will find solutions to any vision concern. In her spare time, Dr. Bohmer enjoys being with her husband and their dog. She is also an avid skier and scuba diver.
